Compulsory Single File is a solution to a behavioural problem

Welcome to Single File Please.  We are a global organisation which advocates “Compulsory Single File” for cyclists when they’re riding in large groups.

Our goal is for future generations of motorists to have less reason to scream at cyclists,  not more.

At Yoast, we like to focus more on the indirect effect. Your subheadings are prominent parts of your article. They stand out more than your body text. By adding your focus keyphrase to your subheadings, you stress the importance of your keyphrase. Moreover, if you’re trying to rank for a keyphrase, you’ll have to write about it. If none of your paragraphs address the main topic, you’ll probably have a hard time ranking.

It simply makes sense to mention the main topic of a post in one or more of your headings. Readers will understand what the paragraph has to do with the topic of the article. And Google may as well. Still, just like keyphrases in general, it’s important not to overdo it. Add your keyphrase where it makes sense, leave it out where it doesn’t.

Why are so many cycling advocates such terrible cyber stalkers?

At what point does lobbying for a given political goal transform from being acceptable contact into blatant cyberstalking? Over the past three years Sally Rugg, former CEO of Change.org Australia, has been relentlessly harassed, stalked, and abused on her various social media channels by cyclists who feel aggrieved that Change.Org hosts a petition seeking Compulsory Single File for Cyclists. But nobody has creeped her out more than Ed Hore, from The Australian Cycle Alliance. Rob Scott tells the sordid tale of a man who simply couldn’t accept there was a woman out there who had no desire to speak with him.

Lies, Damn Lies, and Fudged Statistics – The Fight For London’s Streets.

In July 2021 a new study by Anna Goodman and Rachel Aldred concluded London’s Low Traffic Neighbourhoods are responsible for reducing pedestrian road injuries by 50%. However, our analysis of the same data demonstrates the Goodman Report used a highly suspect methodology known as statistical derivatives. In the ongoing battle to justify London’s unpopular Low Traffic Neighbourhood scheme, it seems fudged statistics have become the new weapon of choice.

Compulsory Single File is a solution to a behavioural problem.

Every motorist has come across at least one group of cyclists who seemingly have no consideration for anyone but themselves.  Indeed,  you may have noticed cyclists who ride in large bunches constantly put their need for conversation above the rights of every other road user.  Our aim at  SingleFile.org is for future generations to have LESS reason to scream at cyclists,  not more.
